Riff Raff Oktoberfest – 30th September @ Flixton Cricket Club
Riff Raff Oktoberfest has developed into the stand out South Manchester affordable family festival.
Local legend DJ Jonny Spangles Is hosting the Main stage introducing Flixton Umpah Band to entertain the afternoon crowds in the Open Air German Drinking hall complete with party goers getting into the party spirit drinking from giant plastic Steins with many revellers wearing Bavarian party wear.
At Tea time we present a DJ set from Manc Legend XFM’s Inspiral Carpets Clint Boon followed by Manchester’s most prominent Reggae band Ruff Trade, Top Urmston Cover Band Retro Active, with ABBA Power topping the bill for the final singalong.
Liam Coyne compares Arena Two that is housed in a giant Pagoda and will be home to Trafford’s hottest DJ’s with Colin from Discotheque Erotica (The Lord Nelson) topping the a truly eclectic line up that includes outstanding blind Pianist Shaun Sir Blimey Heywood.
Importantly Arena 2 has a massive dance floor and a good selection of vendors in close proximity.
Kids have their own supervised play land with a low cost wristband securing entry to a safe play area for the day.
All profits from the day are going to Amy Clegg of Sale who has Cerebral Palsy and a hearing deficiency who is determined to make Team GB for the next Winter Paralympics. The Riff Raff Society is looking to raise £15,000 to send talented Slalom Skier to winter training camp in Canada to try and break into the elite bracket of British Paralympic athletes competing to make it to Milano/Cortina in 2026. We want to give Amy every chance to achieve her dream.
